Cheryl Fish, NP - Owner / CEO
Legacy Primary Care was created with one goal in mind — to make a meaningful difference in the lives of every patient we serve.
As a provider, my calling has always been to help people in a way that truly matters. I remember being a young adult searching for a provider who would listen, connect, and care about me as a whole person — not just my symptoms. I’ll never forget being told, “We can only address one issue per visit.” That moment stayed with me. It revealed how disconnected healthcare had become — and how deeply people were craving compassion, time, and understanding.
From that experience, the vision for Legacy Primary Care was born:
A clinic built on trust, integrity, and human connection, where patients and their families know they are heard, supported, and genuinely cared for.
Here, we focus on personalized treatment plans that prioritize prevention, balance, and long-term wellness — helping individuals navigate the aging process with grace, confidence, and vitality. Our care model is designed to treat the whole person — body, mind, and spirit — because true health goes far beyond test results or prescriptions.
Matt Schneider - Owner / COO
Matt was first introduced to the world of patient care at six years old when his little sister, Molly, was born. During labor, there were complications, depriving Molly of oxygen for several minutes, causing significant brain damage. For the next 30 years, Molly would require full-time care from her family and specialists. It’s because of Molly that Matt became deeply passionate about quality and loving patient care.
In 1993, Matt’s family founded Riverside Assisted Living in Palm Springs, CA, later opening a second facility in Idaho Falls, Idaho. For the next 15 years, until going off to college, Matt split his time at home caring for Molly and working with patients.
Today, Matt is the Co-Owner of Legacy Primary Care™ and Beyond Health Institute — located in Meridian, Idaho. He is also the founder of Ignition Year, a Consulting and Fractional COO company that partners with medical practices to help them achieve greater impact and profitability. Together his background and business experience drives Legacy to be the leader in Primary Care.

Christine Foy, FNP-C
Christine Foy, MSN, APRN, FNP-C is a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner with Legacy Primary Care. She strives to partner with patients for their best possible health, using evidence-based principles of medicine in a trusting, respectful dynamic.
Christine is originally from the Portland area and moved to Boise to attend Boise State University for her undergraduate degrees. After 14 years as a Registered Nurse, Christine attended Northwest Nazarene University for her graduate degree, where she graduated top of her class. The majority of Christine's nursing career was spent in Home Health, seeing a variety of ages, conditions, and environments. Christine believes in meeting a patient where they are, to provide authentic, individualized care that makes a real difference.
Christine has a passion for preventive, proactive medicine, where emphasis is on lifestyle and wellness. In her personal time, Christine teaches group exercise dance classes and enjoys reading classic literature.

Heather Stafford, AGNP
Heather Stafford AGNP-C, is a certified Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner. She earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Boise State University in 2003. After 14 years of clinical experience as a registered nurse in Idaho and a passion for providing quality patient-centered care, she returned to Boise State University and gained her Master of Nursing. She has over 20 years of combined nursing experience in medical-surgical nursing, home health and hospice, oncology, and primary care.
Heather values providing high quality, compassionate, patient-centered care and in building relationships of trust with her patients. She strives to create a welcoming and comfortable environment that fosters open communication and where patients feel empowered. She has a gentle way of facilitating patient care that patients and their families frequently comment on and gravitate towards.
Outside of her professional endeavors, Heather enjoys spending time outdoors, crafting and quilting.

Alyssa Morton - Practice Manager
Alyssa’s passion for healthcare began long before she started her career. Born with a congenital heart condition alongside her identical twin sister, she spent her childhood speaking at fundraisers and raising awareness for congenital heart disease - experiences sparked a lifelong commitment to caring for others.
Today, Alyssa brings that same compassion to her work, combining patient-centered care with strong leadership and a talent for fostering collaboration and growth within her team. She is dedicated to ensuring every patient feels heard, valued and cared for while creating an environment where her team can thrive.
Alyssa treasures time with her two boys and fiance, pursues her love of fitness and embraces a life rooted in family, health and community.
